Barbara E. Stokley Young

Barbara E. Stokley Young (90) passed away after a short illness on January 1, 2016, in Gainesville, GA. 

Born October 4, 1925 in Winona, WV to Joseph O. and Maymie Stokley she was the 6^th of 8 children.

She was a graduate of Laird Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and was a practicing RN for over 30 yrs. in Huntington, WV at C&O Hospital and the Veterans Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 yrs. Leroy L. Young.  She is survived by her children Lynne (Rick) Booth Plummer and Mark (Debbie) Young.  Grandchildren, Frank (Nikki) Booth, Ben (Elder) Booth, and Palmer Booth (Kerr) Ramsay.  Great Grandchildren, McRee and Maxwell Booth, and Ford Ramsay. She has one surviving sibling Roberta (Jim) Fox.

Interment will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Huntington, WV.

A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville, GA on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 2:00 pm.

The family would like to thank the staff and sitters of Morningside of Gainesville, Visiting Angels of Lake Lanier and Northeast Georgia Hospice for their loving care of Mrs. Young during her illness.
