Phillip Lewis Cook, age 80, of Cornelia, Georgia, formerly of St. Petersburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 31, 2015 following a sudden illness.
Mr. Cook was born on August 2, 1935 in Hillsdale, Michigan to the late Lewis and Mary McKibben Cook. Mr. Cook served his country honorably in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Regions Bank. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, David Cook.
Survivors include his wife, Susan G. Cook, of Cornelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Allison Cook and Mark Cross, of Clarkesville; Karen and Tony Thomas of Roseville, MN; son, Phillip A. Cook, of St. Petersburg, FL; sons and daughters-in-law, Shane and Marie Sokol, of Charleston, SC; Kyle and Cathy Sokol, of St. Petersburg, FL; sister, Sharon Archambeault, of St. Petersburg, FL; and 7 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held in St. Petersburg, Florida at a later date.
