Billy (Joe) Irvin

Billy “Joe” Irvin, age 54, of Mt. Airy passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015.

Born in Habersham County on July 12, 1961, Mr. Irvin was the son of the late Bill and Wilma Poole Irvin. He was employed with Mark Wilkinson Lumber Company where he was a tractor trailer driver. Mr. Irvin was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and working on his farm. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by grandparents Floyd and Bertha Irvin and Garnett and Ada Poole, and fathers in law Bobby Smith and Mitchell Gailey.

Survivors include his wife Angie Irvin of the home, son Justin Irvin of Mt. Airy, son and daughter in law Jason and Breanna Irvin of Clarkesville, mother in law Edith Gailey of Baldwin, uncles Rex Poole of Demorest and Sonny Poole of Clarkesville, sisters in law and brothers in law Tammy and Andy Poole of Gillsville, Kim and Reggie Hulsey of Mt. Airy, and Dean and Beverly Smith of Baldwin, aunts Dot Poole of Atlanta, Ann Poole of Tucker, and Louise Irvin of Cornelia, sister in law Kathy Reed of Hartselle, and grandchildren Emily Irvin, Maddison Irvin and Jadan Irvin.

The family will receive friends at Hillside Memorial Chapel on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
