James Virgil Moss

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr James Virgil Moss, age 71 of Cleveland formerly of Clarkesville. Mr. Moss passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Sunday, January 3, 2015 in Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Donald Grizzle officiating. Mr. Moss was born in Towns County on December 23, 1944 to the late Hyman Moss and Maudie Barrett Moss. He worked for many years in Scovil Fastners in Clarkesville and was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church. Before his health declined, Mr. Moss enjoyed being outdoors, often he could be found fishing at one of his favorite spots of camping. He also loved spending time with his family especially his grandson, who was always the recipient of his love and his gifts. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Moss and his son Nathan Coker.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Moss of Dawsonville, brothers, David Moss of Demorest and Frank Moss of Clarkesville; sister, Ora Lee Taylor of Clarkesville as well as his 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funral home on Sunday begining at Noon.
