James Richard Dunson

Mr. James Richard Dunson, age 82 of 1050 Homer Road, Baldwin, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospice House, Watkinsville, Georgia.

A son of the late John Walt and Mable Moss Dunson, he was born March 12, 1933 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of his life in Stephens County.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed with Wright Mfg. Company for a number of years. 

Survivors include his niece and caregiver, Diane Fountain of Homer, Georgia; brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Pam Dunson of Winder, Georgia; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Corine Gilford of Asheville, North Carolina, Eleanor and Silas Pilgrim and Carolyn and Richard Hayes both of Toccoa and Ann and Duffie Holcomb of Eastanollee.

Graveside services will be Saturday, January 2, 2016, 11 O’clock AM at Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery with The Reverend Ralph Goss officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Dale Fountain, Danny Fountain, David Fountain, Noah Fountain, Jason Stokes and Zack Stokes.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Flowers are to be omitted.  Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Hospice House, 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Watkinsville, Georgia 30677 in memory of Mr. James Richard Dunson.

Interment will be in the Zebulon Baptist Church Cemetery with The Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. James Richard Dunson.
