Nell Chambers James

Funeral services for Nell Chambers James, age 87, of Clarkesville will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow the service in Alleys Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery and the family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. 

Mrs. James passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015. 

Born on March 14, 1928, Mrs. James was the daughter of the late John Howard and Jessie Jones Chambers.  She was a homemaker and a member of Alley’s Chapel United Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. James is preceded in death by husband Paul James, sister Evelyn James, and brothers John Chambers and Grady Chambers.

Survivors include son Charles James of Clarkesville, niece and her husband Helen and Steve Seabolt of Clarkesville, sister Annette Marvin of Orlando, Florida, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
