Jim Inus Hanson

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Jim Inus Hanson, age 89, of Macon, Georgia, who passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. Mr. Hanson was born in Jefferson, Georgia a son to the late Inus Patmon Hanson and the late Mary Jeanette Harris Hanson. Mr. Hanson was an Aircraft Machinist with the Civil Service and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. Mr. Hanson was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Jefferson, where he was instrumental in starting the Bethany United Methodist Perpetual Cemetery Fund.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Chapman Hanson of Macon; son, Taylor Hanson and his wife Debbie of Jefferson, daughter, Sharon Shirley and her husband Chris of Jefferson, grandchildren, Aubrey Shirley and Natalie Jackson; great grandchildren, Tucker Jackson and Wyatt Shirley and 2 siblings also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Bethany United Methodist Church with Pastor Ross Wheeler, Mr. Taylor Hanson and Mr. Chris Shirley officiating. The visitation will be held from 12noon until 1PM in the Church, prior to the service.
