Miriam Elizabeth Killmeyer Reed, 67, of Monroe, GA., passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother and sister she will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Reed is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Darryl Reed of Monroe; sons, Pete Smith (Chris) and their four children, Victoria, Brogan, Regan, Branston of Roswell, and Eric Smith (Sarah)and their children Finlay, Candler, Crawford of Atlanta; sister, Judy Ackerman of Knoxville, TN; brother-in-law, James Bell of Gainesville, as well as other relatives and friends.
Born on April 16, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Regis and Martha Martin Killmeyer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda. Bell. Mrs. Reed was employed with Dent First as a receptionist. Mrs. Reed was of the Catholic faith.
Miriam and Darryl spent lots of time traveling. She enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing (fresh and salt water). She loved the time spent with her son and her grandchildren meant the world to her. Miriam made friends wherever she worked lived or traveled. The outpouring of support and love that the family has received over the past weeks has been overwhelming.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2016 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Deacon Rev. Michael Kennedy will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour.
