Wanda Kay McMahan McClure

Wanda Kay McMahan McClure, age 67 of Cornelia, Georgia formerly of Gastonia, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Born in McAdenville, North Carolina on November 20, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Paul & Doris Watts McMahan. Wanda was a member of the Baldwin Baptist Church in Baldwin, Georgia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Scott McClure.

Survivors include her loving husband of 49 ½ years, Rev. Tim E. McClure of Cornelia, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and husband Stephen Tanner of Gastonia, NC; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. David & Jill McClure of Mount Holly, NC; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Mike & Evelyn McClure of Bessemer City, NC; grandchildren, Kaylee & Kelsey Tanner of Gastonia, NC; Destiny McClure & Caleb Lynch of Mount Holly, NC; nieces & spouses, Amy & Tom Summit of Belmont, NC and Jennifer & Kevin Yount of Gaston County, NC; special sister, Nancy Kistler of Clover, SC; great niece, Elana and great nephew, Ethan; other extended relatives, & a great host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Sunday, December 27, 2015 from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim McClure, Rev. Terry Rice, and the Rev. Mark Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2 pm until the service hour at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Gastonia, North Carolina with the Rev. Tim McClure, Rev. David McClure, & the Rev. Dickie Spargo officiating. Interment will follow in the Gaston Memorial Park Cemetery, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, NC, 28054.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the service hour at the church.
