Ray E. Todd

Ray E. Todd, age 91 of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 following an extended illness.

Born in Madison County, Georgia on March 26, 1924, he was a son of the late DeWitt Talmadge & Willa Camp Todd. Mr. Todd served his country proudly in the United States Army during WWII. He worked with Lumite for over 17 years and later worked with Austin Todd Heat & Air Conditioning for a number of years. Mr. Todd was a member of the Hills Crossing Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sarah Elizabeth Short Todd, brothers, Fred & Joe Todd, sisters, Noma Todd, Grace Kesler, Hazel Benfield, Belle Dodd, & Dorothy Mauldin.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, DeWitt Ray & Teresa Jarrard Todd of Mt. Airy, GA; grandsons, Matthew Todd of Mt. Airy, GA and Michael Todd of Clarkesville, GA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at Hills Crossing Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Singletary and the Rev. Rex Chosewood officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 until 6 p.m. on Sunday.
