Loyd Chaffin Lawson, age 71 of Toccoa, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015.
Born in Stephens County on July 2, 1944, he was a son of the late Arthur and Bertha Mae Deal Lawson Taylor. Mr. Lawson was a self employed carpenter and was a member of The Torch Worship Center.
Surviving are wife, Lula Lawson of Toccoa; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Regina Turpen of Martin and James and Karen Palmer of Lula; brother and sister-in-law, Swain, Sr. and Sarah Lawson of Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Morris Walker of Toccoa; brother-in-law and spouse, Harvey and Robin Galloway of Gainesville; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services are 1:30 pm Sunday, December 27, 2015, at The Torch Worship Center with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until the service hour on Sunday at the church.
