John Carl Tyree

 Mr. John Carl Tyree, age 81 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

            Memorial services are scheduled for Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Reverend Raymond Latty and Reverend John Latty will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 20, 2015 from 1 - 2 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.

            Mr. Tyree was born June 24, 1934 in Franklin, Georgia to the late Jim Tyree and Laura Jackson Tyree.  He was a retired truck driver and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  John was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Brenda Hayes, sister, Ann Tyree and 8 brothers.

            Mr. Tyree is survived by his wife, Dorothy Nell Tyree of Gainesville, son & daughter-in-law, Lamar & Shirley Walden of Tyrone, Georgia, daughter & son-in-law, Sophia & Michael Nichols of Young Harris, Georgia, daughter, Deborah Jones of Florida, sister-in-law, Susan Tyree of Daytona, Florida, 12 grandchildren, Craig Walden, Tracy Walden, Chad Walden, Tara Walden, Shannon Griffin, Brian Deyton, Brett Deyton, Michael Adams, Susan Adams, Lisa Hammond, Denise Harriston and Chris Hayes, 23 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

            In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Calvary Baptist Church.
