Jeffrey Scott (Scotty) Adams

Jeffery Scott “Scotty” Adams, age 50, of Dahlonega, GA, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his home following a short, but valiant battle with cancer. His loving family was at his bedside.

Scotty was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was employed with Dawson County Public Works and was a member of Dahlonega Church of God.

Scotty was preceded in death by his father, Bozie Adams; and his brother, Tony Adams.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Tolbert Adams, Dahlonega, GA; daughter, Bethany Adams, Dahlonega, GA; mother, Shirley Adams, Dahlonega, GA; brother and sister-in-law, John and Angela Adams, Gainesville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Angel and Jeff Grizzle, Dahlonega, GA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Barbara Tolbert; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Rhonda Tolbert, Nancy and Nathan Bagwell, and Jason Tolbert, all of Dahlonega, GA; nieces and nephews, MaryElizabeth and Ben Pirkle, Tyler Tolbert, Kelsey Jones, Nate Bagwell,  and Jordan Grizzle; great-nephew and best friend, Reece Pirkle. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Scotty are scheduled for 3 PM Friday, December 18, 2015, at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 2 PM until 9 PM and again on Friday from 10 AM until 3 PM.
