Ruby Ruth Thomas Grimsley

Mrs. Ruby Ruth Thomas Grimsley age 80 of 46 Nancy Street Toccoa passed away Thursday December 10, 2015 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Lowery McBath and Lizzy Payne Thomas, she was born May 14, 1935 in Franklin County, having lived most of her life in Stephens County.  She worked for a number of years with Coats & Clark and later with Milliken.  She attended the Toccoa Christian Church and was preceded in death by sister, Betty Bennett, brothers, Doyle, Jack, Virgil, Joe, John and Dan, and by her first husband Charles L. Grimsley who passed away in 1987.

Survivors include her husband J.C. Blair of the home, daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Hugh Williams and a son, Charles E. “Chuck” Grimsley all of Toccoa, 5 grandchildren, Victoria and Nolan Collier, Brittany and Taylor Grimsley, Wendi & Carmen Jordan, 5 great-grandchildren, Connor, Brooks, Brayden and Anderson Jordan and Scarlet Collier, 3 step-children, Dixie Brown Stein, Andrea Blair and Adrienne Eckman, brother, Ross Thomas of Chichimanga, GA, 3 sisters, Pernie Isbell of Stone Mountain, GA, Sara Bailey of Toccoa, GA and Bonnie Johnson of Buchannan, VA, 12 step-grandchildren, Amy Sevia, Ashley Blair, Craig Blair, Lawrence Harrison, Bruce Harrison, Larry Harrison, Michelle Golf, Christine Smith, Danielle Rood, Jeffrey Blair, Thomas Eckman and Vincent Eckman.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 13, 2015, 2:00 at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with her Minister Gary Phillips.
