Mr. William (Bud) J. Auterman, 89 of Helen, GA passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015.
He was born October 9, 1926 in Waterford, Wisconsin to the late Theodore J. and Edna Boldt Auterman. Bud moved to Gibson City, IL at the age of 12 where he attended secondary school. He was a graduate of Champaign Business School and worked as a CPA until he owned a road building construction company.
Bud was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in World War II and the Korean Conflict as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division in the Pacific Theatre. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Lions Club and Brotherhood of ST. Andrews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marianna See Auterman.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Lee Hall, his childhood friend. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Jacquie Auterman, Fifthian, IL; daughter, Beth Auterman, Champaign, IL; grandchildren, Josh and wife Danyale Auterman, Ted J. Auterman, Jesse Auterman and Laura Mosley; sister and brother-in-law, Arlene and Arlen Reynolds; sister, Olive Graham; stepdaughters, Susan Hall and Robert Leahy, Florida; Aimee and Michael Moles, Baton Rouge, LA; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Memorial services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, December 12, 2015 at The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, Sautee, GA.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be sent to the Building Fund at The Episcopal Church of Resurrection.
