Georgia Patrolene (Pat) Watson, age 78, of Cumming, passed away on December 9, 2015. Pat was named Georgia Patrolene because she was the first child born to the first class of the Georgia State Patrol. She was born July 28, 1937. January 20, 1953, she married the love of her life, Larry Watson. Pat was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Pat is proceeded in death by her parents, Bass and Edna Mae Farr; brother, Vic Farr; and brother-in-law, Eldred Watson.
Pat is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Watson of Cumming; son, Bobby Watson; daughter, Karen Wagoner; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Phyllis Watson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick and Beth Farr, Jerry and Sherri Farr, Margaret Farr, Wansley and Lindell Watson, Mattie Watson. She was grandmother (Nanny) to Julie, Dulce, Jeramy, Johnathon, Cori, Rae, Kayce, Christi and Jacob, and great-grandmother to Tristin, Caleb, Matthew and Bennett. She is also survived to more than a dozen nieces and nephews and a number of other relatives and close friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 12th at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Sorrells and Rev. Gerald Blackburn officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until hour of the service.
