James Rodney Patton

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. James Rodney Patton, age 39 of Commerce, Georgia who entered into rest Monday, December 7, 2015.  Mr. Patton was born in Athens, Georgia, the son of James Roger Patton of Commerce, and Rachel Doster Davis of Gainesville.  Mr. Patton was a truck driver with UFP Mid-Atlantic and was a member of Arcade Community Church.   Mr. Patton is preceded by grandparents; Hershel and Myrtle Brewer and Lavine and Mel Patton.

Survivors include a son; Xander Patton of Hartwell, parents; Rachel Doster Davis and her husband Roscoe of Gainesville, James Roger Patton and his wife Tonya of Commerce.  Brother; Michael Patton of Jefferson, step – brothers; Kevin Davis of Gainesville and Matt Murphy of Ft. Lauderdale, step – sisters Kim Davis of Jefferson, Joanne Murphy Kimball of Dawsonville and Christine Murphy Herila of Hendersonville, N.C., numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend, Amanda Beatty of Jefferson.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 12, 2015 from the  Lebanon Community ChurchCommunity Church Community Church with the family receiving friends after the service at the Church.
