Ruth Brock Davidson

            Mrs. Ruth Brock Davidson, age 90 of Gainesville, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Bell Minor Nursing Home following a brief illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Phil Carpenter and Reverend Darin Vogt will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 4 - 6 pm at the funeral home.

            Mrs. Davidson was born September 7, 1925 in Watkinsville, Georgia to the late Thomas H. Brock and Bertha Hensley Brock.  She was retired from Johnson & Johnson with over 25 years of service and was a member of Chicopee Baptist Church.  Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Larry “Wally” Davidson.

            Mrs. Davidson is survived by her husband of 70 years, Grady L. Davidson of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Linda & Paul Embry of Amelia Island, Florida, grandsons & their wives, Jason & Erika Doss of Hobe Sound, Florida and Josh & Cassandra Davidson of Cleveland, great-granddaughters, Emilee Davidson of Cleveland and Emerson Doss of Hobe Sound, Florida, great-grandson, Scott Barron of Clermont, brother, Thomas Brock of Gainesville, brothers & sisters-in-law, Ruben & Agnes Brock of Lula and Marvin & Joann Brock of Lula and sister, Eunice Poole of Gillsville.
