Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 9, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ward's Funeral Home for Robert Guy Chambers, 72, of Lula. Rev. Billy Keith Chambers and Rev. Brent Jordan will officiate. Interment will follow in White Hall Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Chambers passed away Saturday December 5, 2015.
A native of Hall county, Mr. Chambers was born to the late John Henry and Winnie Mae (Wilson) Chambers. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Chambers and sisters, Pat Sullens and Louella Martin.
Survivors include wife of 53 years, Clara Mae Chambers, Lula; daughters and sons in laws, Lynn and Glenn Gowder, Gainesville, Lorraine and Howie Jackson, Gillsville, Nicole and Josh Tipton, Gainesville; grandchildren, Justin Jackson, Becca Gowder, Jordan Jackson, Jacob Gowder, Gracie Tipton, Walker Tipton and Abbie Tipton; sisters, Cathy Jarrard, Maxine Sullens and Shelby Jean Simmons, all of Gainesville; brothers, Terry Lynn Chambers and Roger Chambers, both of South Carolina.
