Jeanne Butterly Moffitt

Jeanne Butterly Moffitt, 85, of Cumming, GA, passed away on December 1, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Gertrude and John Butterly of Scranton, PA.  Her husband of 25 years, Samuel C. Moffitt and grandson, Joshua also predeceased her.

Jeanne worked for Comcast (formerly Scripps Howard) for 20 years.  She was a volunteer and President of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE 714).  She enjoyed sewing and playing golf.

Jeanne is survived by her children,  Kevin (Patty) Moffitt of Lawrenceville, GA, Mike (Tina) Moffitt of Atlanta, GA, John (Glenda) Moffitt of Cumming, GA and Judy (Karl) Matis of Cumming, GA; sister, Jacqueline Butterly of Dunmore, PA; and much loved grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Heather, Jason, Sean, Daniel, Adam, Brandon and Cameron; and 4 great-grandchildren, MacKenzie, Cole, Ryan and Julia.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 4, 2015 at 10:00 am followed by the service at 10:30 am at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a GoFundMe Account (https://www.gofundme.com/uxcx9938).  The family wishes to thank Cumming Nursing Center for the love and care they showed Jeanne during her stay with them.
