Doris LeeAnn Moore Gambrell

Mrs. Doris LeeAnn Moore Gambrell, age 87 of Murrayville, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015, at New Horizons Nursing Home in Gainesville after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

            Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 05, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at 4:00 pm in Peachtree Gardens Memorial Cemetery, Norcross, Georgia. Pastor J. P. Morris and Pastor Russell Buchard will officiate. Prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m., the family will receive friends on Saturday, December 05, 2015, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Immediately following visitation the service will begin at 2:00 p.m.

            She was preceded in death by her son, William George Gambrell. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Gary H. Gambrell, daughter, Linda Gambrell Morris, son-in-law, Ralph Ellis, daughter, Rebecca Gambrell, daughter, Kathy Gambrell Savage, and son-in-law, George Savage. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, George Moore Jr.

            She loved living in her log home, which her husband built for her 37 years ago on their farm in North Hall County and being close to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

            She was a loving and devoted Christian wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
