Jimmy Lamar Cheek

Mr. Jimmy Lamar Cheek, age 59 of Gillsville, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.

            Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  Reverend Jamie Smith will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 6 - 8 pm at the funeral home.

            Mr. Cheek was born October 28, 1956 in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Frank Cheek and Louise Jones Cheek.  He was disabled and was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Roger Franklin Cheek.

            Mr. Cheek is survived by his sisters & brothers-in-law, Deborah & James “Bubba” Ball of Columbus, Georgia and Lynn & Mack Buffington of Lula, his sister, Gail Martin of Gillsville, his brothers & sisters-in-law, Richard & Mary Ann Cheek of Gainesville and Scott & Donna Cheek of Gillsville and his brothers, Terry Cheek and Ray Cheek, both of Gillsville.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, GA  30504 is in charge of arrangements.
