Irene Pickelsimer Cochran

               Irene Pickelsimer Cochran, age 76 of Gainesville, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

               Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Joey Yeary and Reverend Michael McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 2:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.

               Mrs. Cochran was born August 27, 1939 in Blue Ridge, Georgia to the late George Dallas and Millie Warren Pickelsimer. She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eldon Grover Cochran; her daughter, Alice Elaine Cochran and her sister, Vonnell Stanley.

               Mrs. Cochran is survived by her daughter, Shirley Howell of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Rachel Cochran of Cleveland; son, Larry Cochran of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Bonnie Cochran of Gainesville; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Corn of Blairsville; brothers, Doyle Pickelsimer and Burless Pickelsimer both of Chatsworth; brother, William Pickelsimer of Tennessee; sister, Hattie Chastain of Eton; Mantlee Miller of Hiawassee and sister, Betty Corn of Blue Ridge.
