Dolores Loggins Garrison

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Dolores Loggins Garrison, age 86, of Jefferson, Georgia who passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015. Mrs. Garrison was born in Winder, Georgia, a daughter to the late Hope E. Loggins and the late Christine Lyle Loggins. Mrs. Garrison was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jefferson and was the first female in media sales for the Athens-Banner Herald. Mrs. Garrison was the former owner of Dot’s and Dee’s Florist, and was also an Artist and a Doll Maker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Garrison is preceded in death by her husband, Albert A. Garrison Sr., her son, Bobby Garrison and a brother Bobby Loggins.

Survivors include her daughters, Kay Garrison Fuller and her husband Charles of Calhoun, Chris Garrison Harris and her husband Ed of Alpharetta; son, Andy Garrison of Jefferson, son, Wayne Garrison and his wife Sherre of Jefferson; grandchildren, Chip Fuller and Ben Fuller; great grandchildren, Haley Fuller, Logan Fuller and Charlie Fuller.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Jefferson with Dr. Michael Helms and Minister Tom Plank officiating.  The body will lie in state 1:00-2:00pm in the First Baptist Church of Jefferson, and a visitation period will be held immediately after the service in the Church Fellowship Hall with a private burial to be held afterward.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children’s Village at Christian City, 7300 Lester Road, Union City, Georgia 30291.
