Mrs. Peggy Jo Dorsey Daughtry 81, of Cleveland, formerly of Gainesville, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015.
Born in White County, Mrs. Daughtry was the daughter of the late Gordon and Annie Rogers Dorsey. She had lived in Hall County for most of her life before moving back to White County a few months ago. She was retired from Slack Auto Parts in Gainesville where she was an accountant and had also worked at the Hallmark Store in Lakeshore Mall for a number of years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Gleaners Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Cynthia Daughtry Hall (Les), Winston-Salem, NC; Charlotte Daughtry Breese, Oakwood; Brenda Daughtry Ford (Bob), Midland, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Robert Jeffrey Daughtry (Jana), Gray, GA; grandchildren, Peggy Hall Williams, Robert H. Hall, Russell Reed, Rebecca Wiederhold, Crystal Wilson, Kelly Wilson, Austin Daughtry, Tyler Daughtry, Kevin Summers, Matt and Jenifer Breese, Laura Lawson; great grandchildren, Sierra Williams, Jonah Hall, Thomas Hall, John Hall, Elizabeth Reed, Olivia Reed, Rose Reed, Brooklyn Summers, Madalyn Summers, Will Breese, Alex Loman and Taylor Lawson; sister, Annette Nelson, Marietta. GA.
Mrs. Daughtry is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert Earl Daughtry and grandson, Christopher Reed.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday December 1, 2015 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Bruce Fields will officiate. Interment will follow in the Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in White County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday Nov. 30 from 4-6 p.m. and again Tuesday from noon until the funeral hour.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Center Grove Baptist Church, 4165 Highway 75 South, Cleveland, Ga. 30528.
