Dorothy Ann Archdeacon Gailer

Mrs. Dorothy Ann Archdeacon Gailer, age 78 of 71 Paradise Drive, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at her residence.

A daughter of the late George and Dorothy Thayer Archdeacon, she was born August 17, 1937 in Patchogue, New York having moved from Chattanooga, Tennessee and in Toccoa since 1983.  She was employed with Toccoa Falls College as Administrative Assistant in Student Affairs and later a caregiver for the elderly.  She was a member of the First Alliance Church and the church choir.  She was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Gailer and by a sister, Judy Cunningham.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Brian Long of Newnan, Georgia and Denise and Douglas Standridge of Toccoa, Georgia; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Susanna Gailer and David and Donna Gailer both of Toccoa, Georgia; eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother, Rich Archdeacon of Punta Gorda, Florida.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, December 2, 2015, 11 O’clock AM at the First Alliance Church with The Reverend George Champion officiating. 

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 PM to 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paradise Mountain Ministries, P.O. Box 635, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mrs. Dorothy Gailer.
