Nona Harrison Whitmire

Mrs. Nona Harrison Whitmire, age 106, of Gainesville, Georgia died Thursday, November 26, 2015.

                Born on September 7, 1909 in Habersham County, she was a long time resident of Hall County and the oldest member of Air Line Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. Whitmire, her parents and several siblings.

                Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Mary Sue Whitmire; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Marvin Lewallen, all of Gainesville; sister, Elsie Scroggs of Cornelia, GA; grandchildren and spouses, Cindy and Larry West of Clermont, GA, Lorrie and Rev. Ken Anderson of Murrayville, GA, Roger and Donna Whitmre of Gainesville, GA and Susan and Matt Juge of Winter Springs, FL; 11 Great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

                Funeral service is scheduled Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Chapel on Memorial Park Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
