Mary L. Davis, age 95, of Hoschton, GA and the Mulberry Community passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, T. H. Davis; parents, Charlie and Elizabeth Luther; sister, Gertrude Cronic and brothers, Roy Luther, Ernest Luther, J. C. Luther and Thurmond Luther.
She is survived by her nephews and nieces, Major Ret. Julius W. Davis, Jr. and family, Franklin Luther, Roberta Sloan, Leroy Luther, Linda Culp Louise Grosch, Welton Cronic and Dr. Tom Lott; and numerous great nephews and great nieces.
Mrs. Davis was born August 26, 1920 in Dacula, GA. She was a homemaker. She was retired from Genesco Shoe Company in Lawrenceville, GA after thirty years of service. She was the oldest member of Mulberry Baptist Church in Hoschton, GA. She dedicated her life to her family during World War II when she got married to her now late husband, Tom Davis. She had no higher honor than living a good fulfilled Christian life.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The eulogy will be given by Major Ret. Julius W. Davis, Jr. and Rev. Farrell K. Presley. Interment will follow at Mulberry Baptist Church in Hoschton, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
