Etta Eolene Woody Turk

Obituary Date: Tuesday, November 24, 2015

Etta Eolene Woody Turk, 92, of Braselton passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at her residence.

               Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Gary Osteen will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

               Mrs. Turk was born on October 11, 1923 to the late Van Woody and Kate Woody. She was a homemaker and a member of Chestnut Mountain Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn Turk; daughter, Johnnie Sue Newell; siblings, Walter, Norma Lee, Ruth, Marvin, Golia, J. C., David, Kitty, Theo and Cleo; brother and sister-in-law, Royce and Grace Turk; brothers-in-law, Clyde Turk and Jimmy Cooper.

               Mrs. Turk is survived by her grandson, Gary Newell and Kim Newell of Braselton; great grandson, Josh Newell of Braselton; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Frances Woody of Dawsonville; sisters-in-law, Kathryn Cooper and Margret Turk and numerous nieces and nephews.

               The family would like to give a special thanks to caregiver, Deborah McDonald, and also a special thanks to the Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center for their support and care during the family’s time of need.
