Troy Clifford Beck, age 78 of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Habersham Medical Center.
Born in Habersham County on May 7, 1937, Troy was a son of the late Hubert and Lena Alexander Beck. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He retired from Ethicon with 25 years of service in the distribution department. He also worked with Habersham Feed and Poultry for 18 years.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Terry Beck; grandson, Matthew Benton; brothers, Clay Beck and Carlton Beck; sister, Katie Smith.
Surviving are loving wife of 58 years, Beth “Granny” Nicholson Beck of Mt. Airy; daughter and son-in-law, Regina & Todd Benton of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Seth Benton and Eli Benton of Mt. Airy; sister, Frances Stephens of Mt. Airy; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services are 2 pm on Sunday, November 22, 2015, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Lamar Purcell and Rev. J. R. Elrod officiating. Interment will follow in Welcome Home Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Phillip Yarber officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 on Saturday at the funeral home.
