Robert Monroe King

Robert Monroe King, age 82, of Winder passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015.  Mr. King was an Army and Air Force Veteran.  He was the Worshipful Master Mason and a 33rd Degree Mason of the Auburn Masonic Lodge 230.  He loved to hunt, fish, being outdoors and his family.  Mr. King never met a stranger.  Survivors include his daughter Pamela K. Griffith of Winder; sister Wilda Warren of Hoschton; grandchildren Christina Starling and Daniel Griffith; great grandchildren Gage Starling, Dylan Starling, K'Lee Starling and Chole Starling.  He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Mary King.  Memorial services with military honors will be held 2:00 pm Friday, November 20, 2015 at Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Luis Ortiz will be officiating.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Masonic Children's Home of Macon, P.O. Box 4183, Macon, GA, 31208.
