Alan Dameron

Alan Dameron, 61, of Dawsonville passed away Monday November 16, 2015.

Born April 4, 1954 in Marietta, Georgia to the late Woody and Opal Dameron, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 42 years.  Alan owned and operated RAD Machine Works.  He enjoyed piloting his airplane, playing saxophone, travel and camping.  Alan was extremely devoted to his family and was a friend to all who knew him.  He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charlie Dameron.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Gwen Dameron, Dawsonville; daughter and son in law, Kelly and Tim Johnson, Cumming; son, Woody Dameron, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Alex Johnson, Kali Johnson, Bailey Dameron, Johan Dameron; brothers and sister in law, Larry and Kitten Dameron, Ellijay, Eddie Dameron, Ellijay; and a number of other relatives.

At Alan’s request, he was cremated and the family will hold a private memorial.
