Bonnie Sue Heaton Durham

Mrs. Bonnie Sue Heaton Durham, age 89 of 44 Hammond Drive, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Newell and Ethel Burrell Heaton, she was born November 6, 1926 in Stephens County, Georgia where she lived all her life.  She was employed with Coats and Clark for a number of years and attended Faith Memorial Assembly of God.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dwain Thomas, Sr. in 1977, her second husband, Walter Turpin in 1980 and by her third husband, Clayburn Durham in 2011 and by a daughter, Brenda Dodd.

Survivors include her daughter, Glenda McFarland of Toccoa; three sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Mary Thomas of Trenton, North Carolina, Dwain Thomas, Jr. of Lavonia, Georgia and David and Bobbie Ann Thomas of Toccoa, Georgia; eleven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Linda Heaton of Augusta, Georgia; two sisters, Jean Swafford of Atlanta, Georgia and Joann Lovingood of Plano, Texas.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, November 17, 2 O’clock PM at Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Chad Thomas and The Reverend David Crisp officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Cole Thomas, Kevin Thomas, Richard Dodd, Mitchell Dodd, Brandon Dodd and Justin Cannon.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday from 11 O’clock AM until time to leave for the service.

Interment will be in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Bonnie Sue Heaton Durham.
