Johnny Ernest Parks

Johnny Ernest Parks, age 43, of Helen, GA, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, GA following a sudden illness.

Johnny was born in Gainesville, GA January 27, 1972. He lived the majority of his life in Lumpkin County and had lived in Helen for the past two years. He was a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. Johnny loved spending time with his family and friends and loved riding his chopper. He will be missed dearly.

Johnny was preceded in death by a son, Tristen Parks; infant granddaughter, Adison Grace Parks; and grandparents, Edith and Ernest Segers.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Amanda Gibbs Parks, Helen, GA; children, Sara Parks, Sydney Parks, Hayden Parks, Lindzie Parks, and Seth Parks; brother, Blake Parks, Clarkesville, GA; sisters, Brandy Parker, Clarkesville, GA, and Crystal Painter, Cleveland, GA; mother-in-law, Sandra Gibbs; father-in-law, Mike Gibbs; brothers-in-law, Trent and Charles Gibbs; niece, Alexis Painter.

Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Johnny are scheduled for 1 PM Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 4 PM until 9 PM and again on Tuesday from 10 AM until 1 PM.
