Irvin Dale Simpson

Mr. Irvin Dale Simpson, age 52 of 5885 Rock Creek Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his residence.

A son of Alice Westmoreland Burton and the late Harrison H. Simpson, he was born March 6, 1963 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was an auto mechanic and was of the Holiness faith. 

Survivors include his mother, Alice Westmoreland Burton of Toccoa; companion, Cathy Taylor of Toccoa; daughters, Michelle Wilbanks of Florida and Kimberly Shedd of Toccoa; son, Richard Dale Simpson of Toccoa; step-sons, Kenneth Taylor, Dillon Kinsey, Austin Kinsey and Mason Kinsey all of Toccoa; six grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Kristina Simpson of Carnesville, Georgia and Josh Simpson of Toccoa, Georgia; three sisters and brother-in-law, Karen and Mike Hicks, Yvonne Savage, Teresa Segars and Heather Simpson all of Toccoa.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 13, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Andy Childs, the Reverend Lester Cowan and the Reverend Jay Butler officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Richard Simpson, Kenneth Taylor, Tyler Meeks, Dillon Kinsey, Austin Kinsey, James Simpson, Justin Whitlock and Mason Kinsey.

The family will be at the home on Rock Creek Road and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM. 

Interment will be in the Toccoa City Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Irvin Dale Simpson.
