Ann Mize Bruce

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Ann Mize Bruce, age 77 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered into rest Wednesday, November 11, 2015.  Mrs. Bruce was born in Warren County, Georgia the daughter of the late Julian and Mary Bradberry Mize, was a long time member of Faith Baptist Church, loved children, worked alongside of her husband Byrd Bruce in the family restaurant business for 40 years and was the First Lady of the City of Jefferson for the twenty six years that her husband served as Mayor of Jefferson.  In addition to her parents, a brother Hoyt Cooper and a sister Mary Cooper Daniel precedes Mrs. Bruce.

Survivors includes a daughter, Cindy Bruce Davis and her husband Jerry of Jefferson, daughter, Wanda Herndon of Jefferson, brother; Paul Mize of Jefferson, sister; Geneva Potts of Colbert.  Two grandchildren; Will Wilbanks and Holly Griffin and three great grandchildren; Savannah, Trace and Jasper.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 14, 2015 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Eric Shelton and Reverend Kevin Page officiating with burial to follow in Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson, Georgia.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.  prior to the service.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Brad Fuller, James Fuller, Chris Mize, Andy Mize, Carl Mize, and Jake Davis.
