Robert Minter (Randy) Suddeth, Jr., 65, passed away at his home in Tallulah Falls, Georgia, on November 10, 2015.
Randy was born on September 19, 1950 to Robert M. Suddeth, Sr. and Mary Catherine Suddeth. He spent much of his life in Summerville, South Carolina and in various cities in Florida before moving to Georgia. Randy was a veteran of the US Air Force and the US Coast Guard and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. Randy was retired and enjoyed volunteering at the Rabun County Senior Center by teaching computers. As an animal lover, he also volunteered at Rabun Paws for Life.
Randy leaves behind his devoted wife, Jewel, a step-daughter, Dorinda Paige (Brian) of Smyrna, his mother, Mary Catherine Suddeth of Clayton, two brothers, Richard Suddeth and James Suddeth of Washington, D.C., and one sister, Lisa Buchanan, of Clayton. Randy had several nephews, nieces and cousins, and a host of friends who will miss his smiling face.
Randy was a Christian by faith and enjoyed studying the Holy Land because of the time he got to spend there. He often spoke about his vision of “life on the other side.”
The Reverend Madison McCracken will lead the celebration of Randy’s life at the chapel at Beck’s Funeral Home on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. The family will greet friends at 2:00 p.m., preceding the service.
