Charlsea Duckworth Carney

Mrs. Charlsea Duckworth Carney, age 85, of Dahlonega, GA passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at her home.

Mrs. Carney was born in Blairsville, GA, January 1, 1930 and had lived in Lumpkin County for the past 52 years. She was a homemaker and was a member of Enon Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

She was the daughter of the late Roy Mason and Helen Patterson Mason and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Rufus Duckworth; infant son and infant daughter; daughter, Nancy Maness; sisters, Jana Ruth Plott and Bernadine Saul.

Mrs. Carney is survived by daughters and sons in law, Linda and Phil Lingerfelt, Dahlonega, GA, Connie and David Samples, Dawsonville, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Shelia Duckworth, Monroe, GA, Gary and Judy Duckworth, Dahlonega, GA, Terry Duckworth, Acworth, GA, and Ricky Duckworth, Dahlonega, GA; brothers, Dwight Mason, Blairsville, GA, Dwane Mason, Lawrenceville, GA, and Blake Mason, Monroe, GA. 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild along with numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carney are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, GA.

Rev. Jason Moon and Rev. Randolph Batey will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Blairsville, GA.

The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega, GA on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 5 PM until 9 PM and again on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 from 10 AM until 2 PM.
