Grace Elizabeth Stovall Childs

Mrs. Grace Elizabeth Stovall Childs, age 82 of 418 Desiree Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

A daughter of the late Lewis W. and Lucille Smith Stovall, she was born March 23, 1933 in Stephens County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Gwinnett County.  She was employed with Sears and Kroger for a number of years and was a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church in Lawrenceville.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dan Childs in 1999.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Harold Vandiver of Braselton, Georgia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Marty and Donna Childs of Buford, Georgia and Stanley and Patty Childs of Loganville, Georgia; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Martha Stovall of Clayton, Georgia; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Nathan Weaver of Toccoa and Gail and Bryan Stokes of Greer, South Carolina.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 12, 1:30 PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Bobby Moore, The Reverend Bryan Stokes and The Reverend John Thomas officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jared Martin, Mitchell Vandiver, Michael Vandiver, Bill Wragg, Shaun Spivey and Bryan Childs.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 PM to 8 PM and Thursday from noon until the service time.

Interment will be in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Thomas Holmes officiating.  Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Grace Elizabeth Stovall Childs.
