Delphia Moses Laughridge

Delphia Moses Laughridge, age 90 of Demorest, and formerly of Morganton, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015.

Born in Morganton, North Carolina on August 21, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Grayson and Mae Deal Moses. Mrs. Laughridge was a homemaker who enjoyed cleaning, fishing and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Laughridge; brother, Joe Moses; sister, Pansy Taylor.

Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Madonna Neal of Demorest and Wayne and Sylvia Neal of Morganton, North Carolina; daughter, Geraldine Freeman of Morganton, North Carolina; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Mary Moses of Morganton, North Carolina; sister, Freida Beausoleil of Morganton, North Carolina; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 3 pm Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Morganton, North Carolina, with Jerry Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Burke Memorial Park in Morganton, North Carolina with Pastor Burt Wilbur officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2 pm until the service hour on Wednesday at the church.
