Robert E. (Bobby) Jones

Robert E. (Bobby) Jones, age 75, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015.

Bobby was very proud to serve our country in the United States Army.  He was a self- taught artist who loved to draw Native Americans, nature scenes and cartoon characters for kids.  Bobby enjoyed going on Jeep trips to the mountains with family and to the Jeep Jamboree.

Soon after meeting Bobby, he was your friend for life.  He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.  He was preceeded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Juanita Jones, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, father-in-law, Willie J. Bearden, and brother-in-law, Marcus Bearden. 

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Dorothy Bearden Jones, his two sons Greg Jones and Sheldon Jones, two grandchildren Makayla and Chance, and two great-grandchildren Aden and Eric, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, James and Debbie Bearden, Danny and Linda Bearden, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Cumming, Georgia with Rev. Michael Cantrell officiating the service.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, November 6, 2015, and from 10:00 am to the time of service on Saturday.
