David Daniel Murray, 52, of Gainesville passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
David was born August 1, 1963 in Mobile, AL, to the late Thomas and Inez Murray. He is also preceded in death by brothers Michael and Thomas. He was called Danny by his family and David by his friends. You could call him anything and he would still be there. He was a graduate of Chamblee Charter High School and studied Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Atlanta.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Marc Deese of Brooksville, FL, his brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Lisa Murray of Keystone Heights, FL, his brother and sister-in-law, Martin and Judy Murray of Griffin, GA, his brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Cheryl Murray of Riverdale, GA, his sister, Carmel Murray of Dawsonville, GA, and his sister and brother-in-law, Maureen and Colin Ross of Houston, TX, several nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
Danny was a wonderful chef who dreamed of having his own restaurant one day. He loved cooking and entertaining with family and friends. His other interest included architecture, music, animals, hiking in the mountains, photography, reading, watching documentaries, shopping at Wal-Mart, and last but not least, bonfires.
Danny’s infectious smile, huge bear hugs, and kind and gentle heart will always be remembered and missed by all.
