Marvin Wayne Talley, age 63, of Wiley, Georgia passed away in Sevierville, Tennessee on November 1, 2015.
Marvin was born in Rabun County, GA and was the son of Rev. Leonard and Dorothy Alice Darnell Talley. Marvin was a devoted and loving husband to his wife. He was a Deacon at Battle Branch Baptist Church. He loved his church family and enjoyed singing in the church choir. Most of all he loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and grandsons. His daughter and granddaughters were the light of his life. He worked for Georgia Power Land Department and retired from this department of Georgia Power.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and one brother Robert “Butch” Lawrence Talley, one sister Mary Loraine “Cookie” Sellers.
He is survived by his loving wife Karen McClain Talley of the home; one daughter Kim Talley Fonclara of Lakemont, GA; one son Jason and wife Lynn Talley of Wiley, GA; two brothers, Noel Talley, Tommy Talley both of Otto, NC; two sisters Barbara Carnes of Tiger, GA, Sandra Watson of Rabun Gap, GA; five grandchildren Kayla Talley Brown, Kelsey Talley, Klarissa Talley, Lance Fonclara, Daniel Fonclara; a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Tuesday November 3, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00PM at Beck Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday November 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Battle Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Madison McCrackin officiating. Burial will follow in the Joe McClain Cemetery in Wiley Georgia.
