Ernest Jacob “Ernie” Born

Ernest Jacob “Ernie” Born, 75, of Cumming, GA died on October 31, 2015.  Born in Atlanta, GA he was the son of the late James and Helen Born.

Ernie served in the US Air Force and retired as a Captain with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department.  He was an avid fisherman.  Ernie was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Connelly Born of Cumming, GA; son, Ernie (Ashley) Born of Cumming, GA; siblings, Carolyn Robertson of Dallas, TX, Judy Gazaway of McDonough, GA, Jan Perry of Augusta, GA, Susan Rigby of Middleburg, FL and Ricky Born on Greyson, GA; and much-loved granddaughters, Addison and Mackenzie Born.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Monday, November 2, 2015.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Ernie’s memory be made to the American Heart Association (www.americanheart.org) or the Humane Society of Forsyth County (www3.forsythpets.org).
