Robert Charles Richards

Mr. Robert Charles Richards, age 78 of 1040 Old Carnes Creek Road, Toccoa, Georgia passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

A son of the late R. Toombs and Sarah Rudeseal Richards, he was born May 7, 1937 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He was a retired printing supervisor with Coats and Clark.  He was a member of Old Toccoa Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris Singleton Richards.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Adams Richards of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Scott Alexander of Cordele, Georgia; son, Mark Richards of Athens, Georgia; step-daughters, Ann McIntyre and husband Steve of Toccoa, Georgia, Sharon Shaver of Easley, South Carolina and Jan Masten of Toccoa, Georgia; three grandchildren, Nicholas Alexander, Madison Alexander and Carrington Alexander, ten step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, John and Edith Richards of Toccoa, Georgia; sister, Sara Smith of Westminster, South Carolina; number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 30, 2 O’clock PM in the Hillcrest Chapel of Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Scott Alexander and The Reverend Steve McIntyre officiating.  The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Keith Richards, Roger Worley, Jeffrey Worley, Mike Dills, Dennis Geary and Charles Craig.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday from 6 PM to 8 PM. 

Interment will follow in the Old Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery with The Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Robert Charles Richards.
