Katherine Ruby Brewer Cooper

Katherine Ruby Brewer Cooper, age 86 of Gainesville, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 12:00pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Waters officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cooper was born May 22, 1929 in Blairsville, Georgia to Charlie and Mandy Deaton Brewer. She was retired from Chicopee Manufacturing and was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marcus Branson Cooper and 6 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Joann Cooper of Clermont; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Jerry Gowder of Gainesville; son, Michael Cooper of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Larry Adams of Toccoa; son, Stanley Cooper of Gainesville, 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; brother, Roy Brewer of Gainesville and sister, Annie Mae Southers of Hoschton.
