Lewis M. Edge

         Mr. Lewis M. Edge, age 77 of Winder, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at University Nursing Home, Athens, Georgia, following an extended illness.

            Memorial services are scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Reverend Levi Skipper will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 3 - 4 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.  Mr. Edge was born May 27, 1938 in Macon, Georgia to John Jefferson Edge and Annie Dora Smith Edge.  He was a self-employed contractor and was of the Baptist Faith.  Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Sue Cothran Edge and his daughters, Janice Reid and Brenda Edge.

            Mr. Edge is survived by his daughters, Patricia Chatham of Winder and Darlene Redmond of Waleska, Georgia, his son, Jeff Edge of Gainesville, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his brother, Joe Edge of Marshville, Missouri.
