Robert Jack Coleman, 94, of Gainesville passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Lanier Village Estates following an extended illness.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Lanier Village Estates. Reverend Paul Evans and Reverend Richard Evans will officiate. Entombment will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 12:00 noon in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Coleman was born on May 11, 1921 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Jack Coleman and Amy Deuel Coleman. He was retired from Gilbert Commonwealth where he worked as Treasurer. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Coleman was a veteran of the US Army and served during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lorraine Annatoyn Coleman; brother, Ronald Coleman and sister, Virginia Coleman DeYoung.
Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife, Peggie Stewart Coleman of Gainesville; daughters and son-in-law’s, Diana and Michael Salerno of Knoxville, TN, Nancy and Michael Casey of Marietta, GA and Susan and Gerard David of Bradenton, FL; son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Jill Coleman of Chicago, IL; son, David Coleman of Toledo, OH; daughter, Laura Coleman of Naples, FL; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
