Ryan Presley, a cinematographer and lifelong resident of North Georgia, died unexpectedly on October 20, 2015 at the age of 27.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Gainesville First United Methodist Church on Thompson Bridge Road. Dr Terry Walton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel in Gainesville.
Ryan was born in Gainesville, Georgia on August 15, 1988. He was a 2007 graduate of Gainesville High School and later attended the Art Institute of Atlanta. He owned and operated his own company, Digital Cinematography Services and was involved in many film productions over the years.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Ricky and Teresa Presley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Nate Dawkins and Susan and Brian Fraser; grandparents, Lamar and Annette Grizzle and Sara Nell Presley; nieces and nephews, Samuel Dawkins, Joshua Fraser and Alexis Ledford. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Ronald Presley.
Ryan was a loving son and brother, with a generous heart. His passionate pursuit of art in film was appreciated by many. He was known for his kindness and gentleness of spirit. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville Student Ministry 2780 Thompson Bridge Road Gainesville, GA 30506.
