Anna S. Parrish, 83, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday October 20, 2015 at her residence following a period of declining health.
Born October 31, 1931 in Germany to the late Adam and Josepha Scherm, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 17 years having moved from Jackson, GA. In 1954 Anna left Germany for the United States and after learning English on her own she became a U. S. citizen. She was a devoted homemaker dedicated to her family and was a member of Dawsonville Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Ken Parrish, Dawsonville; children, Kenny and Patricia Parrish, Columbus, NC, Linda and Barry Bearden, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Brandon and Gina Parrish, Kayla Parrish, Kacie Bearden, Karlie Bearden; great grandson, Joel Cox; brother, Albert Scherm, Germany.
A memorial service will be held Thursday October 22, 2015 at 4 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Eddie Martin will officiate.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 3 until 4.
